I bought it for the single "love song" and found 2 others to my liking but moth of the rest of the CD was not to my liking. I think I was looking for more of the up tempo pop of the single. Good voice though.
They were in fact, correct. When the album first came out, honestly, I avoided it because of the hype and absolutely rampant radio overplaying of Love Song. Almost every other song on the disc is original, genuinely good music. I never really liked that song at all. About a year later, I bought the album after a friend had, claiming the other songs were still good. "Morningside" shows off her vocal talent quite well, and "Fairytale" is a very unique song. Listen to the words.Overall a great CD.
I liked it Ok, but wasn't totally like "OMG I must get her album." On Pandora, however, I heard other songs of hers on the album and *then* was hooked. I love this album. "Love Song" is still not my fave song on the album and I think she would have won the Grammy for best single if "Vegas" had been released instead. I discovered my love of Sara Bareilles through Pandora Radio (the music genome project). Previously, the only song of hers I'd heard was "Love Song" on the radio. But that's just my opinion. Basically, I think she has a beautiful and strong voice and I love this album.
I discovered this artist by accident on pandora will listening to another artist. I really like her sound and there several songs on the 2 CD set worth listening to.
I bought this CD cause of what i got to hear on you tube and the radio and then after i got the CD i went back to you tube for the rest of the songs to hear live and Wow I used to not buy CD and just get the songs i liked but now I'm trying to support the artist or movie etc. There are a lot of great tracks and i hope her next CD is just as good or better.
